Frequently asked questions
At what age should my child see an orthodontist?
The American Association of Orthodontists recommends a first evaluation at age 7. At that age, it is already possible to detect bite, spacing, and jaw growth problems that benefit from early intervention.
What is the difference between interceptive and corrective orthodontics?
Interceptive orthodontics is done during mixed dentition (baby and permanent teeth) to correct growth problems. Corrective orthodontics is done with complete permanent dentition to align teeth definitively.
Can my child use Invisalign?
Yes, Invisalign has options designed for children (Invisalign First) and teens. It is an excellent alternative for those looking for a more aesthetic and comfortable treatment.
