Frequently asked questions
From what age can fluoride be applied?
Professional fluoride varnish can be applied from the eruption of the first tooth (around 6 months). It is safe, takes seconds to apply, and significantly strengthens enamel.
What are sealants and when are they placed?
Sealants are a protective coating applied to the chewing surfaces of permanent molars. They are generally placed between ages 6 and 12, when permanent molars erupt. It is a quick, painless, and highly effective procedure.
How often should my child visit the dentist?
The recommendation is every 6 months, but for children with higher cavity risk, we may suggest checkups every 3-4 months.
